Twestival

For those of you who have embraced technology (not you Tony Tony does now use Twitter...) and use Twitter, after seeing Stephen Fry talking about it on Jonathan Ross last week, may be aware of the Twestival.  Twestival is a once a year charity event, well actually it is lots of mini events run by members of the Twitter community.

On 12 February, that's tomorrow folks, over 100 cities around the world, including Stoke on Trent, will each be holding their own Twestivals in aid of Charity Water.  The Stoketwestival is being held at the Leopard in Burslem.  Tickets are only £5 and you get to see loads of local acts.  DJ Fresh from Oatcake FM will be there along with the Trent Vale Poet and many many more.  I'm going along and I'll try and drag a few others from PnP along with me.

Clare, dinner with the PnP team? A prize? Don't you mean a punishment?? I am sure Nita and Mrs Findo will agree that watching Tony and Sir Findo munching on a Wright's Pie isn't really the stuff of prizewinner's dreams! Can't speak for Warren's better half, but I expect she would say the same.

Now, dinner with Take That or Robbie Williams (or all together if we are really pushing the boat out!) Nita and I would DEFINITELY buy raffle tickets for that one!

I am sure there will be offers of real prizes soon!

No, not got my ticket yet - got to get a pass out from 'im indoors - I am supposed to be at home at 6.30pm each night to cook his tea you know. I will sort it out soon. I am sure Nita will be checking to see if I've got one soon. Is Mrs Findo going? I am miffed because I have put my facebook piccie on my profile, but it doesn't show my best side (or any side come to that), when I post like yours does! I am only a novice at this blogging lark, so need help to sort this out - pleeease!

I did mention the Twestival to Mrs Findo, after much searching she managed to find a prior engagement that she needed to go to.....

See! Told you the prospect of watching you and Tony munching the pies was too much - even for your better half! I can see how she would be looking for a prior engagement, what with the prospect of Tony removing his clothes to add to the pie munching. Well, I hope Nita's going otherwise I may be the only PnP lady blogger in attendance...

Ali could we drive to Burslem? Is it past Hanley somewhere, do I have to use a motorway, do you have a sat nav?

Seriously, sound like a good event. Can't see Tony on the agenda though doing a bit of singing? Ian, don't encourage him, you may just have given him an idea to add some singing on the site!

Shame Mrs Findo has prior engagement.

Nita, if we are going all the way to Burslem - the other end of the city - surely neither of us should be driving?? I bet we could find someone who would be keen to chauffeur us - or what about a taxi? You know what we are like with the A500, and add a Sat nav into the equation - we would be a danger to the public! Ha ha. Have you got your ticket then?

Warren, looks like the PnP meeting may be taking place at Twestival? Thought the idea of a meet at the Museum was good though.
