The council executive has made the dreams of the Trentham community come true and at the same time they have shattered the dreams of the communities served by Berryhill and Mitchell High Schools. At today's Executive Members Board meeting the decision to remove Trentham High School from the Building Schools fot the Future programme was taken.

By Mike Rawlins Tonight's EMB meeting, where the future of Trentham High School and the BSF programme will be decided is now to be held behind closed doors. Only members of the 'legitimate' press will be allowed in to the Windsor Room for the meeting which takes place at 5.00pm today.

I suppose it's no surprise to anyone who has been following the BSF fiasco in this city, that the EMB are trying desperately trying to cling on to their power and push through their unpopular schools policy. Mark Meredith has called for an urgent meeting with Education Secretary Ed Balls and there are rumours abound that the EMB will consider voting against the reprieve of Trentham High. Funny, I though he had stepped down from his position as head of the EMB?!
