Have your say in the running of Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre
Residents are being offered the chance to elect new Resident Representative on the Management Committee for the Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre.
The election will take place at the Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre from Monday 8 February to Friday 12 February 2010. The two candidates with the most votes will be elected to the committee.
The Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre delivers Stoke-on-Trent City Council, NHS Stoke on Trent, Voluntary Sector and community services under one roof and was the first of its kind in the country.
The Centre opened in 2007 and the day-to-day operational management is overseen by the Management Committee who meet on a monthly basis to develop and improve services delivered at the Centre.
The two elected residents will sit on the committee to give the local community a voice. They will also be able to inform residents about activities at the Centre activities. The nominated candidates are Mr Kenneth Downs, Mr Martin Meigh, Mr John Steel and Mrs Joan Stirman.
Voting opens at 9am on Monday 8 February and closes at 4pm on Friday 12 February. Residents can cast their vote in the Atrium at the Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre on Dawlish Drive, Bentilee. The result will be published at the Centre by 10am on Monday 15 February.
