Stoke Council Licensing Sub-Committee Plan a Trip To Paradise.

By Warren

Stoke on Trent City Council licensing sub-committee have a little trip up Hanley pencilled in for next Monday. They are off to see a proposed new Lap Dancing club.

The Paradise Gentleman’s Club in Hope Street has applied for an entertainment venue licence. The Bethel Evangelical Church now seems to be up in arms (can’t think why) and logged a complaint. The council now feel the need to nip up there and have a gander for themselves.

The council are also showing some concern about the enforcement of the ’12 inch ruling’. This states, in olde’ English, that there must be 12 inches of space between ‘gentleman’ and ‘lady’ in the private areas of the club. Don’t ask me how this works or how they even think they are going to enforce it, personally I’d build a fence. Anyway it should be the 30cm rule, seeing as it’s all metric now.

If given the go ahead this new entertainment venue plans to open from noon until 5am each day.

God only help the cleaners!
