Burslem South

Pre 2011 Election Ward.

Located in the north of the city the Burslem South ward covers the areas of Middleport, Longport, Cobridge, Forest Park, parts of Sneyd Green and the majority of Burslem Town Centre.

Bordered by the city centre and Festival Park site to the south, the ward is crossed by the A53, Leek New Road and the A50, Waterloo Road.

The ward includes several open spaces:

Central Forest Park;
Sneyd Hill Park; and
Grange Park;
as well as the Middleport Area of Major Intervention designated by the Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder RENEW North Staffs.

Burslem North

Pre 2011 Election Ward.

Located in the north of the city the Burslem North Ward covers the areas of:

Little Chell;
Bank Top;
Stanfield;
Burslem Park;
parts of Smallthorne; and
parts Burslem Town centre.
The area is bound by:

Scotia Road in the west;
Moorland and Ford Green Roads in the south;
the Norton and Bradeley ward to the east; and
the wards of Tunstall and Chell and Packmoor in the north.
The ward includes Port Vale Football Club, Bycars Park and Burslem Golf Course. The Burslem Park area has been designated as a General Renewal Area under the RENEW North Staffs Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder Programme.
